TL;DR:  If you're in Honolulu, don't miss out on Khan Skewer! The service is fantastic, thanks to all three of the servers who made us feel right at home. The food? Absolutely delicious! Must-tries include the chicken thigh skewers, beef brisket with tendon, Mongolian fried rice, and chicken wings. Plus, they surprised us with some thoughtful Lunar New Year treats and free honeydew shave ice at the end. There are a couple of quirky menu items, but overall, we had a fantastic meal for just $125 for four people. Highly recommend! Full Review: Authentic Flavors, Outstanding Service, and a Great Value We had such a great time at Khan Skewer in Honolulu. From the moment we stepped inside, the service was top-notch. Every server was super attentive and made us feel genuinely welcome. Even when we had to switch tables to make room for a bigger group, they handled it like pros--smooth and easy! Food Quality - Hits and Highlights Now, let's talk about the food.     *    Chicken Thigh Skewers: These were the star of the show! We couldn't help but say "mm" out loud. They were juicy and packed with flavor     *    Beef Brisket with Tendon: This quickly became one of our favorites. It was so tender and rich, with that deep umami flavor that just hits the spot.     *    Mongolian Fried Rice: Surprisingly, this was one of the best dishes we tried. It came out piping hot and bursting with flavor--definitely a must-order!     *    Chicken Wings: These were easily in our top three. The flavor was incredible, and they had that perfect crispy texture. Great way to end the feast.     *    Scallion Pancake: Thin and delicious--a solid start to the meal. In my opinion, this wasn't big enough to justify the cost, though.     *    Cilantro Eggplant: Perfect for eggplant fans; it had a great balance of flavors, and was easy to cut in 4.     *    King Oyster Mushrooms: Simple but satisfying.     *    Deep Fried Corn: A fun, crispy treat that we loved. We received this on accident actually.     *    Beef Skewers: Really tasty, though a couple of pieces had a bit too much fat for my liking.     *    Mongolian Naan: Served in halves--good, but I wish they were a bit bigger.  Pro Tip: Don't forget to ask for the extra spicy pepper flake powder! It's not too overwhelming but adds a ton of flavor. Service - Above and Beyond The service at Khan Skewer is truly something special. Each of the three servers gave us equal attention, making sure our food was fresh and that we were enjoying everything. As a sweet touch for Lunar New Year, they surprised us with goodies, and to top it all off, we got free honeydew shave ice at the end--a refreshing and delightful way to wrap up our meal. This is standard for them, but truly thoughtful nonetheless. Price - Good Value For a total of $125, four of us left feeling completely full and satisfied. Considering the quality of the food, the generous portions, and the excellent service, this was a decently priced meal. Overall Experience Sure, there were a couple of minor quirks with the menu (like some items not listing portion sizes), but honestly, this place is a must-visit if you're craving authentic Mongolian and grilled skewers. With the delicious food, attentive service, and thoughtful extras, Khan Skewer easily ranks as one of the best casual dining experiences in Honolulu.

I would like to start of this review by saying the whole entire meal I kept saying, "Wow this is so good." I've been to Khan Skewer before, but I was meeting my boyfriend at the end of his meal so I only had a glass of wine and a bite..... or a few of his free dessert... wait did someone say free?! Last week my boyfriend and I were deciding on what to eat for dinner and mind you, we've been around town, but I wanted to try Khan Skewer from the many good things he said about it the first night he went. The soonest reservation I could make that day at 7:30, which was an hour out and we weren't that hungry yet so I didn't mind waiting at home till it was time to leave. When we got there, I was so shocked how busy it was! They made us wait around ten minutes to clean the table, but we were sat fairly after. We ordered the gizzards, beef tongue x2, mushroom medley, garlic scallops, and corn. Seems like not a lot of food, but I was so so stuffed by the time we left. You get two options of spiciness for the skewers which was mild and spicy. Of course we got the spicy! My favorite thing ever was the beef tongue and the garlic scallops. The beef tongue wasn't too spicy but was super soft. The spices they use for the skewers is unbeatable. They also offer a pineapple sauce that gives a good amount of acidity to the spice as well as another spicy dipping power, which was phenomenal. The garlic scallops were doused in garlic and glass noodles and had a small thai chili on top for a bit of a kick. I wouldn't recommend getting this if you're planning on kissing boys in the club after! After our meal, they gave us three flavor options of the free dessert I mentioned earlier which was lilikoi, chocolate, and peach. We chose the lilikoi and it was a great complimentary sweet treat to complete our super spicy meal. The cornflakes were a great touch of crunchiness. I will definitely be back!

Have dined here twice. Once for restaurant week and another time on a Thursday evening after 9pm for happy hour deal. Both times the staff was attentive with water refills and quick to take orders. I will note that if you come after 9pm for happy hour deals on food or drink, you get 10% off your order. Being one of the few places that stays open late in this part of town it can get busy. Food comes quickly and is well seasoned and good flavors. Favorites are Maui venison , lamb and beef skewers. The eggplant is beautifully seasoned with nice kick of spices. Mushroom soup dish is also very good. Restrooms are accessed outside via key. Parking in front and back and is well lit. There is a gate and fence as well to provide some space between the sidewalk/street and lot. There are several tvs showing various Chinese travel or cooking shows as well which are fun to watch while you wait for your food. They might just make you more hungry when they show cooking!

TLDR: One of our favorite meals on Oahu! Skewers were all super flavorful, and we loved that the meal came with dessert. Top 3 were the king oyster mushroom, pork belly, and beef. Must make a reservation ahead of time, this place is super popular. Small parking lot outside the restaurant was very convenient. ------ FOOD: 1. King oyster mushrooms (5/5) 2. Pork Belly (5/5) 3. Beef (5/5) 4. Enoki Mushroom (5/5) 5. Snow fluffy milk ice (5/5) 6. Eggplant (4.5/5) 7. Chicken Skin (4.5/5) 8. Lamb (2/5) - Unfortunately the only one we didn't like. Pretty gamey taste, even to those who typically love lamb. ------ SERVICE: * Good service but the restaurant seemed generally understaffed. Despite being understaffed, the waiters were all so kind and patient, and they were more apologetic than they needed to be in our opinions! ------ ENVIRONMENT / AMBIANCE: * Perfect spot for a group of friends to grab dinner and drinks after a long day out * Definitely more of a casual spot in the suburbs -- will need to drive / Uber if you're staying on Waikiki, but it's a very short drive * Nice neighborhood feel and the parking lot outside the restaurant made things super convenient

I recently visited Kahn Skewer House in Honolulu for their Restaurant Week special, and it was a good experience! The skewers were seasoned and grilled in their kitchen, not like other skewer restaurants. Each course of the special menu was quickly served, with portions that left us satisfied but wanting to come back to try more. The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff was attentive and welcoming, making sure our needs were met throughout the meal.

Honolulu Restaurant Week Meal #2 I've been itching to try this place and took this perfect opportunity for restaurant week! A 10 course meal for only $68.99 ($104.89 value) for 2-3 people. Mongolian cuisine -- full of flavor and spice! Ambiance is cozy and welcoming. A good place for late night eats too. We thoroughly enjoyed each dish and even had some leftovers to take home. Edamame Mushroom medley Deep fried chicken tenders Beef 3 skewer (Wagyu Beef) Lamb 3 skewer Maui Venison 3 skewer Pork belly 3 skewer Scallop with vermicelli 3pc Eggplant Snow fluffy milk ice (Passionfruit flavor) 2 sides of white rice 2 dipping sauces The service was exceptional. All staff were extremely attentive, polite, professional. They were always checking in with our table if we needed anything and to ask about the meal. We are grateful to try new places and this will be in our future rotation!

The other night some of us friends celebrated someone birthday at Khans. Khans took over the old location of AGU ramen located next door to St.Louis alumni hall on Isenberg St. It was resturant week so we all ordered a set menu for 3 . Came with an appetizers, 4 types of skewer , scallops, egg plant and a mushroom medley and dessert all to share . The skewer consists of Beef, Pork belly, Lamb and Venison. My favorite was the Pork Belly. I would definitely go back again but I would try something different next time Support local , service was great and there's parking available.

Honolulu Restaurant Week Dinner... We hit a jackpot! I originally wanted to dine at Khan Skewer Restaurant because my Yelp friend, Andy, checks in at this establishment so much that he is The Duke! It must be good, right? Our group of nine decided to celebrate "Friendsgiving" and agreed to try Khan Skewer Restaurant. The day we selected happened to occur during Honolulu Restaurant Week, so we got a DEAL!!! For 2 to 3 people, the set menu was: Edamame with Garlic Mushroom Medley 3 Skewers each of Pork Belly, Wagyu Beef, Maui Venison, and Lamb Eggplant Deep fried Chicken Tenders Scallop with vermicelli Snow Fluffy Milk Ice - we chose peach flavor Each set came with 2 bowls of white rice... which was more than enough! Note: There were two condiments: red chili powder mix and a pineapple hot sauce... i gave mine away! The gals sat together and ordered "no spicy". We were stuffed! Everything tasted great and had wonderful presentation! The place was clean; the service was attentive; the restroom was convenient; and the parking was FREE! They were so nice to allow us to place our cake in their refrigerator, bring it out on a platter with a candle, and play a Happy Birthday song on the PA system! We had a wonderful time with fond memories! Thank you!
